Dr. Baris Vefali is a board certified Internal Medicine and the founder of Austin Medical Clinic.  Dr. Vefali has a wide range of expertise in care of patients with complex medial histories as well as acute illnesses.

Education and Career

After earning his undergraduate degree from Moravian College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Vefali obtained his medical degree from St. George’s University, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College’s St. Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey, serving as primary care clinic chief and initiating a patient-centered continuity clinic model. Committed to both teaching and patient education, Dr. Vefali believes that understanding one’s condition is key to effective management. Recently, he relocated to Texas and is launching a new primary care clinic in Bastrop, where he aims to deliver exceptional care with compassion.
